McNeese University Health & Human Performance Center
3D Laser Scanning for Documentation
Hurricanes Laura and Delta devastated the Lake Charles area in 2020, and McNeese University’s Health and Human Performance Center was heavily damaged. The Arena’s commercial contractor hired us to do a 3D documentation scan ahead of the massive project.
“I reached out to Michael from Red Stick Visual Solutions to perform a 3D scan of McNeese’s Health and Human Performance Center to document existing conditions before we began a large-scale renovation. On short notice, and with a tight timeline, Michael came out to the renovation site and was able to document the building conditions. In the construction industry, you want somebody that’s going to show up when you need them and deliver a high-quality product in the agreed timeframe. Michael did all of that and more. I will definitely use Red Stick Visual Solutions again, and will be recommending them to my colleagues.” -Joey, Project Manager

“Red Stick Visual Solutions was a wonderful partner for our school! The 3D Scan and drone footage have been extremely valuable for showcasing our school online as a virtual tour, especially during the COVID pandemic. The team was friendly and accommodating with our school’s schedule, and they were very professional throughout the process. CBS News This Morning
Night Drone Videography
CBS News This Morning commissioned us to capture drone videography for a segment on “Floats in the Oaks,” a sold-out, drive-thru Mardi Gras float display in New Orleans’ City Park. We designed this showcase video with our footage from the shoot, using a sound mix of rap and traditional Mardi Gras music.
“Michael shot drone footage of New Orleans City Park’s ‘Celebration in the Oaks’ for a piece I produced for CBS This Morning. He was incredibly easy to work with and willing to provide all the necessary information and insurance to get the requisite approvals in place. He made sure I got all the shots I needed. His work elevated our piece. I actually got a little teary eyed when I saw it come in because I knew it would make our story that much better. I look forward to working with him in the future!” – Molly Mazilu, Producer for CBS News This Morning
“Michael Franco is incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, creative, and collaborative. His shooting has added a tremendous amount of drama and storytelling to the national news pieces we have worked on with him.” – Jamie Wax, CBS News Contributing Correspondent
